The department is well equipped with state-of-art laboratories and infrastructural facilities. The Electronics and Communication Engineering use the key principles as well as other stock of knowledge to design and analyze the devices, circuits, signals, Systems, Integrated Circuits, Microwave components and Devices, Micro processors and Micro Controllers etc. The consistent guidance.
States-of-art laboratories in the department are:
Electronic Devices & Circuits Lab : Equipped set of 26 CROs, function generators, dual mode power supply to accommodate two students per experiment, which makes fundamental of the students very strong. This lab is foundation for many subjects in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Basic Simulation Lab : One to one computer to each student to design the circuit and simulate. The lab is stalled with 60 high end computers with necessary software. In this lab students understand concepts of various signals and their transformation from one domain to other. Circuit construction and the simulation can also be done in this lab.
IC Applications Lab : With all necessary ICs and sufficient number of CROs, Function generators, Power supplies to accommodate two students per experiment.
Analog Communicati ons Lab : The lab is having software and hardware experiments. The laboratory provides an excellent opportunity to simulate the various basic all types of modulation and demodulation techniques and realize them in the hardware kits.
ECAD & VLSI Lab : This lab has all necessary front end and back end tools, which are helpful to understand the chip design flow, fabrication , implementation and power optimization. The lab has projector so that students can directly understand the simulation process and directly learn the process and programming techniques with support of eminent faculty members
Microwave & Digital Communications Lab : Eight microwave benches, four of them mounted with Klystron source and four of them mounted with GUNN source. This lab enables students to understand the characteristics of microwave components and devisees plays vital role in wireless communication. All types of digital modulation kits are also available as per the JNTUH norms.
Microprocessors & Interfacing Lab : Facilitates students to execute programs to understand the basics operation of the Micro processor which is the heart of every computer. Students execute programs in hardware and assembly level programs. This lab lays strong foundation to the students to understand other advanced subjects like Micro Controllers and Embedded Systems.
EC& PC Lab: Electronics and circuits,Pulse and Digital Circuits Lab as a part of II B.Tech II Semester. It deals with the concepts of Pulse shaping, Multi-vibrators, Oscillators, Power amplifiers,Amplifiers, Switching Circuits etc. Students perform experiments on the trainer kits. This laboratory also helps the students in doing their Mini Projects.
DSP Laboratory: Software’s used for this lab are MATLAB, XYLINK and 'C' Complier. This lab is well equipped with 60 PC systems. As a part of III B.Tech I and II Semester. The lab has projector so that students can directly understand the simulation process and directly learn the process and programming techniques with support of eminent faculty members
Embedded Systems Lab: This lab is deals with microcontrollers and embedded system programming using KEIL Software. It consists of 35 PCs, Evaluation boards, programming kits used for loading programmes in the microcontroller’s chips. This lab is used for M.Tech and for B.Tech projects. It is also used for students of other department on sharing basis. The lab has projector so that students can directly understand the simulation process and directly learn the process and programming techniques with support of eminent faculty members.
